Shane Warden serves as the Broadcast and Media Technology Director at SailGP, the global championship that is redefining sailing. He is a hands-on CTO level innovative leader with over 30 years of experience in technical, operational management & innovation, covering all aspects of broadcast and sports media. In his current role at SailGP, he keeps the organisation at the leading edge of media technology to enhance quality, service, and value for global broadcast and media partners.
Combining deep Sports Rights knowledge with all types of data and broadcasting technology, he has had experience in all areas including live sports production, sports data, digital OTT, rights and media/brand valuation and insights, studios and post production.
He is known for driving & pioneering many current and topical innovations including real-time generative AI applications, live cloud production, virtual advertising, archive systems and more.
Before joining SailGP, Shane held key leadership positions as the Chief Technology Officer at ATP Media, Sports Industry Specialist at AWS, and General Manager of IMG Studios, Stockley Park.
Shane is an Advisory Board Member of SVG and has served on judging panels for BAFTA and the Royal Television Society.
