Glyn Davies

Glyn Davies is an innovative marine designer and project manager who has worked in multiple America’s Cup teams, including developing programmes for the management side of the event. In these roles he has managed technically complex programmes involving large-scale chase boat operations as well as the design and development of these systems. He has also undertaken coaching roles with high-performance sailors across a number of disciplines.
He is currently Lead Designer at Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders, where he has led the development and design of the Catalyst high-performance chase-boat platform. He is the primary designer behind the new Catalyst V2, developing its new hull form, structural design and foil integration, with extensive use of CFD to refine performance. He is also responsible for integrating, testing and developing various foil systems for these boats.
Glyn brings extensive experience in the operational use and development of chase boat systems for yacht racing applications.
