Chris Trodden has spent a decade advancing precision Acu-Res® wind measurement technology across the most demanding environments. As Head of Business Development at FT Technologies, he led the development of the FT6 wind sensor, engineered for applications like offshore racing and has worked closely with IMOCA teams across the Vendee Globe, Ocean Race, and the Route du Rhum.

Leveraging FT Technologies’ work across sail performance racing and commercial maritime sectors, has given Chris direct insight into how the data practices and wind measurement standards developed in offshore racing are transferring into real-world decarbonisations. Particularly in Wind Propulsion, where precise, continuous wind data is the direct link between sensor input and quantifiable CO2 savings.
