Andrew Preece
Executive Producer, World Sailing
Andrew is the newly-appointed broadcast specialist at World Sailing. He has joined the international federation to help select, on board and manage the production partner for the 2027 World Sailing Championships in Forteleza [Brasil] and Gdynia [Poland]. He is also working with the executive team to collaborate with Olympic Broadcast Services [OBS] on the coverage of Olympic sailing in the build-up to LA28.
Prior to joining World Sailing Andrew was a member of the senior management team at London-based global media company Sunset+Vine for 18 years. In that time he oversaw the company’s sailing production – including four consecutive World Sailing Championships, America’s Cups, Volvo Ocean Races, BBC Olympic sailing, CNN Mainsail and The World Sailing Show. He also executive-produced the production of Henley Royal Regatta for 11 years, the outside running, triathlon and cycling races at the Commonwealth Games, and the landmark moment in sport – the INEOS 1.59 Challenge – where Eliud Kipchoge became the first athlete to run a marathon distance in under two hours.
