Chantal Ferrero
Professional sailor
Chantal Ferrero is an Argentine sailor with firsthand experience across some of the sport’s most talked-about formats. Her experience spans offshore racing, including a two-month internship with Team Malizia during The Ocean Race Europe as part of the IMOCA Female Leadership Development Programme; inshore fleet racing as part of an all-female team in the ClubSwan Racing Series; and her role aboard the 100ft Swan Muzuni, where she is working as a deck sailor and gaining valuable insight into the superyacht industry.
A 2024/25 graduate of The Magenta Project Mentoring Programme, Chantal has spent the past two years moving between different corners of the sailing industry, developing a grounded, athlete’s-eye perspective on what makes racing compelling, accessible and inclusive for both sailors and spectators.
She is now channelling that experience into creating greater opportunities for women in sailing, bringing a perspective that bridges the competitive and cultural sides of how the sport can continue to evolve and grow its appeal.
