Pınar Coskuner Genç is involved in the world of sailing as international race officer, judge, umpire and administrator.

She was the Principal Race Officer (PRO) for the Paris Olympic Games regattas.

Pınar Coskuner Genç started sailing at the age of 5 and began racing at Istanbul Sailing Club with the Cadet class in 1989 and with the 470 class from 1990 onwards. A member of the Turkish Sailing Team from 1990 till 1997, she sailed in the 470 class and from 2005 onwards with the Pirat and the Dragon classes, competing at Worlds, Europeans, Mediterranean Games and other international and national events.
